Michael Odim has over 20 years Banking and Financial markets experience spanning through Treasury, Investment Banking and Operations. He started his career with the Operations Group of First Bank followed by then Equity Bank and Intercontinental Bank (now Access Bank) where he traded both at the Foreign Exchange and the Local Currency Markets.
Prior to his current role at TAJBank, he was the Chief Dealer with the responsibility for the overall Treasury Management covering Asset & Liability, Liquidity Management, Foreign Currency Dealing and Investments among others. His Team successfully anchored the registration of TAJBank as a Capital Market Operator as well as the successful issuance of TAJBank Mudarabah Sukuk Series 1 in 2022 which was oversubscribed.
Michael holds a BSc in Geology from the University of Port Harcourt as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) jointly issued by Rome Business School and Universidad Internacional de Valencia, he is a qualified Capital Market Professional as well as a Certified Treasury Manager by the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) respectively.
He is a seasoned professional who has acquired in-depth training and is deeply rooted in areas of currency trading, Fixed Income Securities, Strategic Liquidity Management and Leadership
